LockeStar Cavaliers

Christopher is a 3rd generation LockeStar Cavalier.  He is sired by GCH Torlundy Courtlore Who's Got The Button - "Benny" and is out of LockeStar Dancing at Dawn - "Dottie".  Benny is heart clear over the age of 5 and is the product of parents clear over the age of 5.  Benny is a son of an MRI scanned sire and grandsire.  Christopher's mother Dottie is currently heart clear, and is also a product of parents heart clear over the age of 5.  Furthermore, Dottie and both her parents were MRI scanned with three of her grandparents scanned as well.

Christopher is a nicely put together dog with the a zest for life.  He has never met a stranger he didn't like, and exhibits a true Cavalier temperament - always happy.  As a youngster he showed promise in the show ring.  At his first show only being 5 months of age, he was awarded puppy Best of Breed and a Toy Group 2nd among some nice competition.  He later won Best of Opposite Sex in Sweeps just days shy of 7 months old.  Christopher went on to show in Canada for a weekend and picked up a couple of 1st placements as well as a Puppy Best of Breed over a puppy special. 

 

After a long break from showing, he returned to the ring as a maturing adult.  He swiftly gained both AKC majors, including a 5 point from a specialty among top competition.  Sadly, he suffered a devastating accident, leaving his left front arm and hind leg broken.  After 12 weeks of recovery and months of physical therapy, he finished his Championship in his first weekend back out, with two more majors, a BOB and Group 1st! He earned his Grand Championship only a few short months later taking multiple BOB placements.  He is siring lovely puppies and passing on his excellent temperament and structure.
